Eclectic Edge Ensemble and Mad Munchkin Productions come together again to bring you into the world of fairy tales as preserved by The Brothers Grimm. The brothers, Jacob and Wilhelm, strived to maintain the integrity of these Germanic Folktales and published their first compilation, Children's and Household Tales, in 1812. This book is commonly known today as Grimm's Fairy Tales.
The Grimm Fairytales tell a story of life that was quite relatable to many Central Europeans in the early 1800s... unpredictable and sometimes even cruel. Today, many of the stories are censored and softened for children and are told with a more positive, whimsical tone.
EEE and MMP's collaboration on A Grimm Tale will be no such softened translation. It will be a peek into the imaginative, frightening and thrilling adventures that the Grimm Brothers worked so hard to preserve years ago.
